Plug-and-Play Ethernet Switching
The Vcan2240 does not require IP address configuration or other network settings for basic Ethernet switching.
Simply connect the Ethernet devices and power supply. The module automatically negotiates the appropriate 10Mbps or 100Mbps link speed.
Each port supports Auto-MDI/MDIX, eliminating the need to manually configure the port type for different network connections.
4 × 10/100Mbps Ethernet Ports
The module provides four independent Fast Ethernet ports.
Each port supports:
-
10Mbps Ethernet
-
100Mbps Fast Ethernet
-
Auto-negotiation
-
Auto-MDI/MDIX
-
Half-duplex operation
-
Full-duplex operation
All four ports can also be used as uplink ports, providing flexible network topology options.
Stable Ethernet Switching
The switch uses a store-and-forward architecture to help filter invalid packets and reduce unnecessary network traffic.
It provides:
-
1Gbps backplane bandwidth
-
Full line-rate forwarding
-
Packet filtering
-
MAC address learning
-
IEEE 802.3x flow control
-
Full-duplex backpressure
-
Broadcast traffic handling
This makes it suitable for embedded equipment requiring stable multi-port Ethernet connectivity.
Wide DC Input
The module supports a wide DC input range of 5V–15V.
Recommended external power supply:
DC 12V / 1A
This wide input range makes the switch easier to integrate into different embedded systems and industrial equipment.
Compact Connector Design
The standard board uses compact 1.25mm-pitch connectors to save installation space.
Standard connector configuration:
-
Ethernet: 1 × 5-pin, 1.25mm pitch
-
Power: 1 × 4-pin, 1.25mm pitch
Different connector configurations can be considered for OEM projects.
