Dual CVBS Edge AI Video Tracking Board with Thermal Camera Support

The 2237 is a compact Edge AI video processing and tracking board built around the RK3588S processor. It supports two-channel CVBS video input and an optional MIPI camera interface, making it suitable for visible-light and thermal imaging applications.

The onboard AI processing platform supports real-time object detection, recognition and tracking. Customers can use the module for embedded computer vision applications that require low-latency video analytics and target position information.

Video Input

The board supports:

This allows the same processing platform to be integrated with different camera configurations, including visible and thermal imaging sensors.

AI Detection and Tracking

The onboard AI vision system supports several tracking methods, including:

  • AI object detection

  • Centroid tracking

  • Correlation tracking

  • Template matching

  • Multi-target tracking

  • Intelligent hybrid tracking

The system can detect and track objects such as people and vehicles, while providing target position information relative to the image center.

Tracking initialization can be customized through target ID selection, mouse/click selection or bounding-box selection.

The module provides real-time encoded video output through:

H.264 and H.265 encoding parameters can be configured according to the application requirements.

Important Integration Note

The module provides target deviation / position information that can be used by an external control system. It does not currently provide plug-and-play integration with common open-source flight controllers such as PX4 or ArduPilot.
